Business Need

Our client, a leading Direct Broadcast Satellite (DBS) television service provider in India, sought to strengthen identity and access governance across its application landscape. The organization required a centralized solution to enforce consistent password policies, enable Single Sign-On (SSO) for seamless user access, enhance user experience, and streamline user lifecycle management. Additionally, the client needed tighter control over application access, including the ability to restrict users to a single active session within its Siebel environment, improving security and compliance.

Solution Delivered

We implemented Oracle Identity and Access Management (IAM) 11gR2 in a high-availability (HA) configuration to enable centralized access management, Single Sign-On (SSO), user provisioning, and password management across the client's application ecosystem. We also established a centralized identity repository by provisioning user identities in Oracle Internet Directory (LDAP), creating a secure and unified foundation for identity governance. To ensure smooth adoption and ongoing operations, we provided training for the client's teams to manage L1 and L2 support, while continuing to deliver L3 support for the implemented solution.

Business Impact

The implementation delivered centralized identity and access management across the organization, enabling Single Sign-On (SSO) and automated user lifecycle management for both enterprise and legacy applications. By integrating key platforms including Siebel CRM, Siebel PRM, SAP, KMS, PRM-Service and Active Directory with Oracle IAM, the client enhanced security, simplified access management, improved user experience and strengthened governance across its application ecosystem.
