Job Description
Responsible for assessment, design, architect and implement enterprise-wide network solutions.
Key Job Functions
Work with the Enterprise customer leadership team to research, analyze, design, architect, and implement enterprise-wide network architecture solutions.
Derive unique strategies that support customers’ needs, including identifying and analyzing technical problems, evaluating alternatives, developing and integrating new solutions.
Conducts network architecture design, feasibility, and cost studies.
Performs Architecture reviews as required, ensuring Customer initiatives are aligned with future state, and assess the GAPs and recommend & implement recommendations/modifications.
Conducts risk assessment and provides recommendations for design and architecture.
Creation of detailed architectural health check report and provide a predefined task plan.
Proposes and implements Network and Network Security enhancements that will improve compliance, security, performance, and reliability.
Prepares the analysis of the capacity needs for network infrastructure
Plans, designs, and implements networked systems, including configurations, and supports/troubleshoots network problems.
Conducts lab testing on new and existing hardware and software including network, security and cloud Network products.
Work with vendors and OEMs on feature roadmaps and deployment for new products and solutions
Serves as a technical escalation point for engineering, operations and delivery
Works to identify and develop new tools and systems to automate tasks or improve existing ones
Supports pre-sales team as subject matter expertise on network solutions proposed to customers.
Interaction with OEM SE team and TAC for Highly Critical technical support
Should be capable to guide the team/individual on a requirement basis.
Required Skills & experience.
8-10+ years of experience in network engineering and architecture on Enterprise Networks and Network Security.
Minimum of 7 years of hands-on routing, switching and load balancing experience, preferably in a Data Center Networking environment.
Experience of design (Both HDL and LLD), architecting, deploying with automation and operation of large-scale Data Center Networks with Spine and Leaf Architecture, Campus Networks with Wireless LAN and SD-WAN with SASE, and NextGen Firewall.
Solid background in a consultative customer engagement role with a major consulting services organization or in the services division of a major IT or software company.
Solutions development mentality in an environment with multiple offerings and solutions.
Strong in-depth networking product and technology knowledge is a must.
Strong understanding of products, solutions, and technical support across at least 3 of these OEMs - Cisco, HPe Aruba, Extreme Networks, F5, Radware, Fortinet knowledge is desired.
Strong knowledge of the Networking landscape including Ethernet switch & Routing, Software Defined Networks, NextGen Firewall, SD-WAN, Micro-Segmentation, and WAN Optimization.
Knowledge of Multi-cloud Networking and Cloud infrastructure technologies, such as virtualization, NFV, virtual switches, virtual routers will be added advantage.
Experience with programming Python or shell scripting, especially as it relates to SDN & Automation will be an added advantage.
