Life at Inspirisys
My journey at Inspirisys
The journey has been a learning experience, with each new challenge bringing something different my way. Taking on responsibilities has helped me understand my work better and become more confident in handling things independently. Some experiences have pushed me to think differently, while others have helped me recognise areas where I can improve. Looking back, it feels good to see the progress I’ve made since I started, and I’m excited to keep growing and see what lies ahead.
The things I value most about this organization
One of the things I appreciate about working at Inspirisys is the trust placed in me and the freedom to take ownership of my work. Being part of a team where different perspectives are welcomed and encourages mutual support makes the experience even more meaningful. Having the opportunity to share ideas, explore new areas, and take on different responsibilities keeps me engaged and helps me develop new skills. It is this combination of trust, teamwork, and opportunities that makes the workplace rewarding.
When Inspirisys pushed me out of my comfort zone
Two experiences brought me out of my comfort zone. One is the Mid-Level Managers Program and second is XL4W Up!Swing workshop, both of which introduced me to aspects of work I hadn't explored before. From engaging with people beyond my immediate team to looking at challenges from a wider standpoint, each added a new dimension to my professional life.
Growth and Opportunity
My experience as part of the Mid-Level Managers Program
The Mid-Level Managers Program gave me a clearer understanding of what goes into managing a team effectively. It brought attention to aspects such as decision-making, people management and collaboration, which are important alongside technical knowledge. I found the interactions with other managers particularly useful, as hearing how they approached different situations introduced me to new ways of thinking. The sessions also gave me time to reflect on my own strengths and the areas I need to work on. I came away with a better understanding of how my approach can influence the way a team functions. The program also got me thinking about the kind of manager I want to be, the values I want to uphold and how I can put these into practice in my role.
The XL4W Up!Swing workshop and the perspective it brought to my professional journey
The XL4W Up!Swing workshop got me thinking about how women can make their contributions more visible and build a stronger presence in the workplace. It encouraged me to recognise my own capabilities and be more deliberate about how I approach my career aspirations. One of the key takeaways for me was that professional growth also involves making your voice heard, sharing your ideas and being willing to put yourself forward. As a woman in technology, I found its emphasis on challenging self-imposed limitations particularly relevant. I also valued the focus on women encouraging one another, because having that support can make a real difference in how we approach challenges. I came away with a renewed sense of purpose and a clearer idea of how I want to contribute to my field.
The key lessons I learnt from the workshop...
…Is the value of connecting with people beyond my usual circle. Conversations with others can introduce us to different ideas and help us see something in a new light. I also realised the importance of being open to situations that may initially feel unfamiliar. Sometimes, we underestimate what we can do, simply because we haven't tried it before. The workshop reminded me to trust my abilities and give myself the chance to explore what I’m capable of. These are lessons I hope to carry with me in my work and in the way I approach new situations.
For me women in leadership means
...stepping forward with confidence, trusting your abilities and refusing to let the fear of judgement hold you back. It means taking on challenges, embracing your strengths, and encouraging other women to recognise their own potential. True progress happens when we make room for more women to lead.
